Bishop Calls for More Prayers as President Mugabe steps down

Dear Colleagues in Ministry
Calvary greetings. I am back again with the message which some of you might have heard already is that President Mugabe has resigned with immediate effect, November 21, 2017. We have entered the time in which more prayers are needed from you all believers. Help us through your prayers that in the euphoria and all expressions whether for joy or sorrow peace will continue to prevail.
As I will disembark from the plane at the Harare airport on November 23, 2017, I will be symbolically stepping into a new dispensation for the people and country of Zimbabwe.

The Zimbabwe Episcopal Area Cabinet meets for the end of year meeting at Manna Safari Lodge in Harare which is being jointly hosted by Harare East and West Districts. The Area Cabinet brings into conversation the Bishop, Administrative Assistants, Connectional Ministries Directors and all the 13 District Superintendents.

The Cabinet meeting reviews the ministry done by the church in the year and looks at the finer details of the Annual Conference Sessions to be held at Old Mutare and Murewa Missions on 9-10 December and 16-17 December 2017 respectively.

The Zimbabwe Episcopal Area has high on its agenda the 2017-2020 Transitional Period in which the church has set its sights at the creation of two Episcopal Areas. Zimbabwe East and Zimbabwe West will have their own Bishops by 2020. In preparation of the new dispensation the Zimbabwe Episcopal Area has made remarkable progress in the construction of Head Offices – Zimbabwe West has already been completed while the Zimbabwe East HQ nears completion. Circuits and Districts have started making contributions towards the Episcopal Residences.

Africa Bishops Impressed by the new HQs in Zimbabwe

African Bishops and other leaders of the General Church were overwhelmed with joy and amazement by the beauty and magnitude of the new headquarters in the two conferences. Their thanks and appreciation which they expressed upon visiting these offices is a tribute to us all.

Glory be to God.
